Student Senate
Dabney S. Lancaster Community College (DSLCC) has an active Student Senate: a governmental structure that promotes cooperation and communication among all students, administration and faculty. It works to provide leadership opportunities, assist with college activities and helps to create policies needed for student government to function.
There are fifteen seats available at the beginning of each fall semester. Candidates must submit two recommendations, one of which should be from a DSLCC faculty or staff member, and a petition with 50 signatures of currently enrolled DSLCC students to be placed on the ballot. Elections will be held on the fifth week of the fall semester. If any of the 15 seats remain vacant an election will be held on the fifth week of the spring semester. Members must maintain a semester grade point average of 2.3.

Fall 2008 Student Senate Meetings are held in the Student Activities Office every Wednesday at 8:00 am
Visitors are welcome!
Elections will be held for additional members to join during the 5th week of Spring Semester 2009, on February 9th and 10th.
