The Licensed Practical Nurse
(LPN) Bridge Program
LPNs may be admitted to the second level of the program in the fall semester if they meet the following requirements:

Completion of the admission requirements for the practical nursing (PN) program.

Proof of LPN licensure

Proof of current CPR certification

After successful completion of these courses, students will be granted an Associate in Applied Science degree and will be eligible to take the examination for RN Licensure.
| *Students who plan to continue their education and ultimately get the baccalaureate degree may wish to substitute BIO 150: Introductory Microbiology (4 credits) in place of BIO 149. |

LPNs who have completed the first level of the DSLCC nursing program and who are re-entering the college to complete the RN portion of the program will also need to meet these requirements. Students must have completed a Practical Nursing Certificate before entering this program.
