Advanced Health Care Certificate
Admission Requirements
Students who meet the admission requirements to the College are eligible for enrollment into this program. Students are expected to be proficient in basic English, mathematics and reading. Appropriate developmental courses are available for those who need to improve proficiency in these areas.
In addition to the general admission requirements of the College, entry into the health care curriculum is based on the following requirements:
1. Graduation from high school or GED
2. High school courses in biology, algebra and chemistry
3. GPA of 2.0 or higher
4. Satisfactory scores on placement tests in reading, algebra, basic math and writing
Students not achieving satisfactory scores will be required to enroll in additional courses.
Program Requirements
A student must achieve a 2.0 GPA ("C" average) or better in health, psychology and biology.
